Members of the RPF Inkotanyi in Nyamirambo sector of Nyarugenge District met on Sunday to take stock of the achievements registered in their sector, and lay strategies for next year.

In a general assembly that was presided over by the Chairman of RPF in Nyarugenge District, Kayisime Nzaramba, the cadres were specifically upbeat on their achievements including increased subscription to community based health insurance (Mutuelle de Sante) and infrastructure projects.

Other achievements that were feted include improved hygiene which was reinforced by the construction of two sewerage canals that were dangerous to area residents.

During the event that was characterized by merrymaking, the cadres were reminded of the ideology on which the RPF is built in a presentation that was given by Bernard Banamwana, the commissioner for good governance in the RPF committee at the district level.

Addressing the meeting, RPF District Chairman, Nzaramba advised them to strengthen decentralized party structures saying that there should be meetings at the village level at least once a month.

Such meetings, he said, will help them keep track of the implementation of different projects in the sector.

The meeting also resolved to put more effort in environmental protection, harnessing and protecting infrastructure projects, and continue rallying more residents to subscribe for Mutuelle de Sante among others.
